Claire Healy is a performer, musical director, and composer who has worked in theatres across the globe. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) from Federation University, and a Master of Music (Interactive Composition) from VCA.
Claire was the Musical Director for the Australian Premiere of SIX in 2020 (LWAA), and the premiere of Well Behaved Women, presented at the Hayes Theatre in 2021. She composed music for the Irish national tour of the critically acclaimed Low Level Panic, before its reworking in Sydney at the Old Fitz Theatre. She assisted on the development of Black Balloon the Musical at the Bush Theatre U.K.
Other compositional work includes: Tart (Galway Theatre Festival); Stupid F*cking Bird, Venus in Fur (Lightning Jar Theatre); The Tosca Project (Australia Council) and The Caucasian Chalk Circle, directed by Michael Kantor (Victorian College of the Arts).
As an actor, Claire recently appeared alongside Miriam Margolyes in The Lady in the Van for MTC, and has toured extensively with Frantic Theatre Co in the U.K.. She has completed international tours of her cabarets, with sold-out shows in Edinburgh, Adelaide and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2013, she was named the Most Popular Cabaret on Twitter, (ThisIsCabaret) at Edinburgh Fringe. Claire was also nominated for Best Cabaret at Perth Fringeworld in 2016.
